- Abdul Sattar Abu Risha - Sheikh Abdul Sattar Eftikhan al-Rishawi ad-Dulaimi الشيخ عبد الستار افتيخان الريشاوي الدليمي - was the leader of an alliance of Iraqi Sunni Arab tribe that opposed al-Qaeda in Iraq, and son of the chief of the 160,000 strong Albu Risha clan, a subset of the Dulaim tribe, the largest and most important tribe in Iraq. He was assassinated, shortly after becoming an ally of the Iraqi government through forming an organisation of fellow tribal chiefs called the Sahawat al-Anbar or the Anbar Awakening Council based in Anbar's provincial capital of Ramadi, some 70 miles (110 km) west of Baghdad.

Lui qui était un des rares à bénéficier du soutien à la fois des États-Unis et du gouvernement irakien dans la lutte contre Al-Qaïda en Irak, a été tué dans une attaque à la bombe le 13 septembre 2007 près de sa résidence à Ramadi. Son assistant et ses deux gardes du corps ont également trouvé la mort dans l'attentat. Plusieurs membres de sa famille, dont son père en 2004, ont été victimes des attaques d'Al-Qaïda en Irak.
