Various other forms of the name are currently in use on the school's own website and in official lists, including Abbey Grange Church of England High School Humanities College, Abbey Grange High School Humanities College, Abbey Grange High School, Abbey Grange Humanities College and Abbey Grange School, but Abbey Grange Church of England High School is used by Education Leedsand OFSTED. The school has 1,200 students between the ages of 11 and 18, and 80 members of staff. The school was awarded Humanities College status in 2006. Miss Helen Yarrow was appointed the Head of Humanities. Due to the new status many departments were repositioned in the school to allow more rooms for humanities lessons. Abbey Grange recently underwent Ofsted investigation and was evaluated very favourably in all areas, and particularly in its Christian ethos. The school's ethos is to "educate, nurture and empower".
