Region D is one of the four A regions of the Virginia High School League. It is made up of three districts: the A Black Diamond District, the A Cumberland District, and the A Lonesome Pine District. The region is located in the far western part of Southwest Virginia, west of Region C's location. As was the case with Region IV, the region was the smallest in Group A, due to high schools consolidating.
