The 6th arrondissement of Paris is one of the 20 arrondissements (administrative districts) of the capital city of France. Situated on the left bank of the River Seine, it is one of the central arrondissements of the capital and is notable for including the district of Saint-Germain-des-Prés – dominated by its Abbey founded in the 6th century – as well as the French Senate, located in the Jardin du Luxembourg.
