  • 30th Street is a rapid transit and trolley station on SEPTA's Market–Frankford and Subway–Surface lines in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The station is located on Market Street between 30th and 31st Streets in the University City neighborhood near Drexel University, and is the first station located west of the Schuylkill River. The station features four tracks—two outer tracks for the Subway-Surface trolleys, and two inner tracks for the Market-Frankford subway trains. A free transfer is available between both services via a mezzanine level which provides access to all four tracks. The underground station is located ½ block southwest of 30th Street Station, which is served by Amtrak and SEPTA Regional Rail trains. An underground tunnel used to connect the two stations, however it has since been closed due to crime concerns, therefore isolating the stations all together. The official SEPTA map still denotes this station being connected to Amtrak and SEPTA Regional Rail service through a pedestrian connection; however, connections today between the stations must be made via 30th Street itself. The station was recently renovated, and has since become one of three accessible underground stations on the Market-Frankford Line by featuring an elevator in addition to a staircase.
