The 1999–2000 Serie A season was Società Sportiva Lazio's 100th season since the club's existence and their 12th consecutive in the top division of Italian football. In this season, Lazio won their second Scudetto of their history, and their third Coppa Italia, completing an historical double. In Europe, Lazio was knocked out at the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, but won the 1999 UEFA Super Cup against Manchester United.

  • La stagione del centenario fu inaugurata dalla conquista della Supercoppa Europea: la Lazio, che vi prese parte avendo vinto l'ultima edizione della Coppe delle Coppe, sconfisse il Manchester United (campione d'Europa) con una rete di Salas. Durante la prima parte di campionato i romani abitarono stabilmente i vertici della classifica, in compagnia della Juventus, riportando due sole sconfitte nel derby e contro il Venezia. A fregiarsi del titolo d'inverno furono, per un solo punto, i bianconeri. Nel girone di ritorno, la Lazio si rese protagonista di una rimonta simile a quella che aveva subìto l'anno precedente: con otto turni ancora da giocare, si ritrovava a −9. Lo scontro diretto giocato al Delle Alpi venne vinto grazie al gol di Simeone. Le sorti del tricolore si decisero soltanto all'ultima domenica, con la vittoria per 3-0 sulla Reggina e il crollo torinese al Curi di Perugia che assegnò alla Lazio il suo secondo scudetto. Questa stagione portò inoltre all'esordio in Champions League (con il raggiungimento dei quarti di finale) e alla terza affermazione in Coppa Italia, a scapito dell'Inter. (it)
