- The Copa Digeder 1989 was the 19th edition of the Chilean Cup tournament. The competition started on March 4, 1989 and concluded on July 9, 1989. first and second level teams took part in the tournament. Colo-Colo won the competition for their seventh time, beating Universidad Católica 1–0 in the final. The points system in the first round awarded 3 points for a win. In the event of a tie, each team was awarded 1 point, and an additional point was awarded to the winner of a penalty shoot-out. (en)
- La Copa Chile Coca-Cola DIGEDER 1989 fue la 19.º edición de la clásica copa doméstica del fútbol de Chile, competición de carácter oficial y profesional, correspondiente a la temporada 1989. Se jugó desde el 4 de marzo hasta el 9 de julio de 1989. Su organización estuvo a cargo de la Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de Chile (ANFP) y de la Dirección General de Deportes y Recreación (DIGEDER), y contó con la participación de 40 equipos, divididos en cuatro grupos de 10 equipos cada uno: cuatro de Primera División y seis de Segunda División, conformados geográficamente. La competición se jugó inicialmente bajo el sistema de todos contra todos y luego bajo el sistema de eliminación directa, en partidos de ida y vuelta. El campeón fue Colo-Colo, que, con una victoria por 1-0 ante Universidad Católica en la final a partido único, se adjudicó su séptimo título de la Copa Chile y segundo bicampeonato. (es)
