The 1974 Minnesota Vikings season was the franchise's 14th season in the National Football League. The Vikings won the NFC Central as they finished with a record of 10 wins and 4 losses. The Vikings defeated the St. Louis Cardinals, 30–14 in the NFC Divisional Playoff Game, and the Los Angeles Rams, 14–10 to win their second consecutive NFC Championship, both games were at home. However, the Vikings lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl IX, 16–6 at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans, becoming the first team to lose consecutive Super Bowls.
