Their self-titled debut album was released on 10 October 2006, and has gotten several positive reviews by North American publications. The group toured the United States shortly after the release of the album. 120 has started producing new material for a record after returning to Oslo in 2008. This is following the major touring around the United States and Europe.

I tillegg gjorde de en avtale med Vice Records for distribusjon utenfor Norge. Sent 2005 og tidlig 2006 gjorde de opptredener under det nye navnet Sex Beat, for å unngå tvister med utenlandske musikkgrupper som også het The Beautiful People. Deretter ombestemte de seg nok en gang, og i løpet av sommeren 2006 ble bandet hetende 120 Days. Det selvtitulerte debutalbumet 120 Days ble sluppet 10. oktober 2006 i Norge på Smalltown Supersound, og senere også i USA på Vice Records. For albumet vant bandet Spellemannprisen 2006 i klassen rock og årets nykommer.
