Wallace Wilfred Swinburne Breem (13 May 1926 – 12 March 1990) was a British librarian and author. He was the Librarian and Keeper of Manuscripts of the Inner Temple Law Library. His writing included non-fiction pieces, but he is probably best known for his three historical novels, especially Eagle in the Snow (1970).

| - والاس بريم (بالإنجليزية: Wallace Breem) هو مؤلف كتب بريطاني وأمين مكتبة (إنر تيمبل) وحارسها، عاش بين عامي1926 و 1990 . كتب والاس بريم عدة روايات تاريخية أهمها رواية (نسر في الثلج) عام 1970.في سن 18 من عمره دخل بريم مدرسة تدريب ضباط الجيش الهندي، وعين في عام 1945 كضابط في فيلق المرشدين في فصيلة الفرسان النخبة في سلاح الحدود الشمالية الغربية.بعد تقسيم الهند في عام 1947، عاد بريم إلى إنجلترا وعمل في عدة وظائف، كان منها عامل في مدبغة، ومساعد طبيب بيطري، وجامع للاجارات في المنطقة الشرقية من لندن. وأخيرا انضم إلى موظفي مكتبة (إنر تيمبل) في لندن عام 1950.كان أيضًا عضوا مؤسسا لرابطة بيال، حيث شغل فيها عدة وظائف كأمين الصندوق وريس مكتب السكريتارية ونائب رئيس الرابطة وأخيرا رئيس الرابطة. - Wallace Breem (1926-1990) fue un escritor y bibliotecario inglés de la Inner Temple Library. Es conocido principalmente por haber cultivado durante su vida la novela histórica, escribiendo en el género clásicos en la literatura inglesa como El águila en la nieve (Eagle in the Snow). A los 18 años Breem ingreso en la academia de oficiales del ejército en la India y en 1945 fue destinado como oficial al , un unidad de élite de la caballería destacada en la frontera noroeste de la India. Tras licenciarse en 1947 Breem volvió a Inglaterra, ocupándose en una gran variedad de empleos como el de trabajador de curtidos, ayudante de veterinario, etc. En 1950 pasaría a trabajar de bibliotecario en la Inner Temple de Londres. Fue miembro fundador de la British and Irish Association of Law Librarians (BIALL) obteniendo los cargos de secretario, tesorero, vicepresidente y presidente. Entre sus relatos históricos destaca El águila en la nieve (1970-1971), considerada por algunos como «la mejor novela histórica ambientada en la época de la caída del Imperio romano». El águila en la nieve se sitúa a finales del siglo IV y principios del siglo V y relata la historia del general romano Paulino Gayo Máximo y su amigo Quinto Veronio, encargados de la defensa del Muro de Adriano y como estos deben trasladarse junto con su legión a las frontera norte del Imperio romano para defender la Galia de las invasiones de los bárbaros. Après l'indépendance de l'Inde en 1947, Breem revient en Angleterre et occupe divers emplois dont ouvrier dans une tannerie, assistant d'un vétérinaire, et collecteur de loyers dans l'East End de Londres. Il rejoint finalement le personnel de la bibliothèque de l'Inner Temple à Londres, en 1950. Breem est membre fondateur de l'Association britannique et irlandaise des bibliothèques de droit (BIALL), dont il a tenu, à divers moments, les charges de secrétaire, de trésorier, de vice-président et de président.
