The Spanish Society for Immunology (Sociedad Española de Inmunología, SEI) is a legally recognized professional non-profit organization in Spain, dedicated to promote and support excellence in research, scholarship and clinical practice in immunology. It has 908 members in the field of health, research, teaching and industry, almost all Spanish, but also Latin American. It was founded in 1975 by Fernando Ortiz Masllorens. The current president of the society is Prof. Dr. África González Fernández, also the executive director of the Biomedical Research Center at the University of Vigo.

| - La Sociedad española de Inmunología (SEI) es una organización sin ánimo de lucro reconocida y constituida en España. Está dedicada a promover la excelencia y el soporte de la investigación, la docencia y la práctica clínica en inmunología. La SEI tiene cerca de 1000 miembros en el campo de salud, investigación, docencia universitaria e industria, casi todos en territorio español, pero también latinoamericano. Fue fundada en 1975 por el Dr. Fernando Ortiz Masllorens. La sociedad organiza cada año un congreso nacional en ciudades españolas diferentes y la revista oficial de la sociedad se denomina Inmunología. La revista fue fundada en 1982, como publicación trimestral en español e inglés en la biología, fisiología y patología del sistema inmunitario. La presidenta de la Sociedad Española de Inmunología fue hasta 2020 la Dra. África González Fernández, Catedrática de Inmunología y Directora del Centro de investigaciones Biomédicas de la Universidad de Vigo. El actual presidente es el Dr. Marcos López Hoyos, Jefe del servicio de Inmunología del Hospital Universitario Marqués de Valdecilla y profesor de la Universidad de Cantabria. Recientemente cuenta con una Fundación, Fundación Inmunología y Salud (FIyS) que gestiona la sociedad.

Every year the society organizes national congresses in different Spanish cities and publishes a scientific journal called Inmunología, founded in 1982, a quarterly publication in Spanish and English on the biology, physiology and pathology of the immune system. The current president of the society is Prof. Dr. África González Fernández, also the executive director of the Biomedical Research Center at the University of Vigo. (en)
