John Mitchell Lounsbery (March 9, 1911 – February 13, 1976) was an American animator and director who worked for Walt Disney Productions. He is best known as one of Disney's Nine Old Men, of which he was the shortest lived as well as the first to die.

Ha lavorato come assistente all'animazione in Biancaneve e i sette nani, per poi essere accreditato già dal film successivo, Pinocchio. Negli anni settanta è stato promosso al ruolo di regista, col cortometraggio Tigro e Winny-Puh a tu per tu, inserito poi nel classico disney Le avventure di Winnie the Pooh. (it)
