The Grand Large is an artificial lake in Wallonia, not far from the city of Mons in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. The lake is situated along the highway E19 between Paris and Brussels. Its marina can host 157 boats. The lake is linked to two canals: to the east, the , to the west the Canal du Centre.

Er is een haven voor 157 boten met toegang naar twee kanalen: het Centrumkanaal en het Nimy-Blaton-Péronne-kanaal. Het Grand Large ligt naast de spoorlijn tussen Bergen en Quiévrain, die over een spoorwegbrug over het Kanaal Nimy-Blaton-Péronne loopt. De bedoeling van het meer bestaat hoofdzakelijk in recreatie; met het oog op het jaar 2015, waarin Bergen Culturele Hoofdstad van Europa wordt, tracht de gemeente het Grand Large tot een toeristische troef uit te bouwen. Het Grand Large ligt naast de spoorlijn tussen Bergen en Quiévrain, die over een spoorwegbrug over het Kanaal Nimy-Blaton-Péronne loopt. De bedoeling van het meer bestaat hoofdzakelijk in recreatie; met het oog op het jaar 2015, waarin Bergen Culturele Hoofdstad van Europa wordt, tracht de gemeente het Grand Large tot een toeristische troef uit te bouwen. Rond het meer lagen anno 2010 uitsluitend kiezelstenen en modder; de beboste weg naar het Grand Large vanuit het stadscentrum, langs afgedankte treinwagons, is tevens een notoir trefpunt voor homoseksuelen. Het stadsbestuur streeft derhalve naar een sanering van de onmiddellijke omgeving van het meer, met het oog op een imagoverbetering. (nl)
