Gohelwar was one of the four prants or traditional provinces of Saurashtra, the others being Jhalawar or Jhalavad, Halar, and . Gohelwar covered the southeast of the Kathiawar peninsula, and roughly corresponds to the modern Bhavnagar District and Amreli District.
