François-André Isambert (November 30, 1792 – April 13, 1857) was a French lawyer, historian, and politician. Isambert was founder and for an extended period contributor of the Gazette des Tribunaux and actively participated in Louis François Wolowski's Revue de législation et de jurisprudence.

(ru) François-André Isambert (* 30. November 1792 in Aunay-sous-Auneau im Département Eure-et-Loir; † 13. April 1857 in Paris) war ein französischer Jurist und Politiker. Isambert widmete sich dem Studium der Rechte und wurde Deputierter der Kolonien, 1818 auch Advokat am Kassationshof in Paris. Als Deputierter tat er sich besonders durch seine Bemühungen für eine Verbesserung der legislativen, der administrativen Lage und der Sklavenbefreiung innerhalb der Kolonien sowie durch seine Angriffe auf die katholische Kirche hervor. Gegen die „Juliordonnanzen“ vom 26. Juli 1830 protestierte er im Namen des Advokatenstandes. Später begab er sich als einer der ersten auf das Stadthaus, wo er von der zusammengetretenen provisorischen Regierung zum Direktor des Bulletin des lois ernannt ward. Am 27. Augu (de) François André Isambert, né le 30 novembre 1792 à Aunay-sous-Auneau (Eure-et-Loir) et mort le 13 avril 1857 à Paris, est un juriste et homme politique français. Avocat aux conseils du roi, au Conseil d’État et à la Cour de cassation, directeur du Bulletin des lois, conseiller à la Cour de cassation, député d’Eure-et-Loir (1830-1831) et de la Vendée (1832-1848), à nouveau représentant d'Eure-et-Loir à l'Assemblée constituante de 1848 (1848-1849), vice-doyen de la Cour de cassation, il est l'auteur d'une œuvre monumentale en vingt-huit volumes intitulée Recueil général des anciennes lois françaises depuis 420 jusqu'à la Révolution de 1789.
