Churches Together in England issued a call to prayer during the COVID-19 pandemic, inviting all Christians and people of prayer to join on Mothering Sunday 22 March 2020, at 7.00 pm, and to light a candle in the windows of their homes as a visible symbol of light and hope. The following Sundays the emphasis shifted to praying and displaying a poster, rather than lighting a candle. (en)
