- Chris Hillman (* 4. prosince 1944 Los Angeles) je americký hudebník. Počátkem šedesátých let hrál ve skupinách a hrající bluegrass. V roce 1965 byl jedním z původních členů skupiny The Byrds, ze které odešel v roce 1968, ale o čtyři roky poté se opět na rok vrátil. V letech 1989 až 1991 a znovu v roce 2000 se skupinou opět hrál. V roce 1968 spoluzaložil skupinu The Flying Burrito Brothers, ze které však brzy odešel, aby se mohl vrátit k The Byrds. V sedmdesátých letech také vystupoval se skupinami a a během své kariéry rovněž vydal několik sólových alb. With frequent collaborator Gram Parsons, Hillman was a key figure in the development of country rock, defining the genre through his work with The Byrds, the Flying Burrito Brothers, Manassas and the country-rock group the Desert Rose Band. - Christopher "Chris" Hillman, född 4 december 1944 i Los Angeles, är en amerikansk sångare, basist och mandolinist. Han anses som en viktig figur inom countryrocken. Hillman blev 1964 medlem i The Byrds, efter att tidigare ha spelat med några okända grupper. Han fick platsen som basist, men kunde egentligen bara spela mandolin. Han lärde sig ändå hantera basen relativt snabbt. Hillman spelade med The Byrds under deras mest framgångsrika period och bidrog bland annat med flera fina kompositioner, till exempel "Have You Seen Her Face", "Time Between", "Thoughts and Words" och "The Girl With No Name". 1968 lämnade han The Byrds och gick med i gruppen The Flying Burrito Brothers, med vilka han fortsatte han utvecklandet av countryrocken.
