- Der Aston Martin DB7 ist ein von Mitte 1994 bis zu einem nicht bekannten Zeitpunkt 2004 gebauter Sportwagen des Automobilherstellers Aston Martin. Er war mit seinem 3,2 l großen Sechszylindermotor der erste Aston Martin nach 20 Jahren, der nicht von einem V8-Motor angetrieben wurde. Zudem wurde mit dem DB7 die bei Aston Martin traditionsreiche Typenbezeichnung DB wiederbelebt, welche auf die Initialen David Browns, des langjährigen Eigners der Marke, zurückgehen. Insgesamt wurden über 7000 Exemplare des DB7 gebaut. (de)
- The Aston Martin DB7 is a grand tourer which was produced by British luxury automobile manufacturer Aston Martin from September 1994 to December 2004. The car was available either as a coupé or a convertible. The prototype was complete by November 1992 and debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March, 1993; the car was designed by Ian Callum and Keith Helfet. The six-cylinder DB7 (based on the Jaguar AJ6 engine) was positioned as an "entry-level" model below the hand-built V8 Virage introduced a few years earlier. This model was the highest produced Aston Martin automobile up to that point in time, with more than 7,000 built before it was replaced by the DB9 in 2004. (en)

Lancée en 1993, la DB7 a été l'épine dorsale de la compagnie. À cette époque, elle est le modèle Aston Martin le plus produit de tous les temps, dépassant la production combinée des classiques DB4, DB5 et des DB6. DB7 togs fram med hjälp av Fords resurser och blev en nystart för Aston. Mycket av tekniken härstammar från likaledes Ford-ägda Jaguar, i synnerhet det nedlagda -projektet. Chassit är en utveckling av XJ-S och motorn härstammar från XJ. I likhet med XJ-seriens högprestandamodell XJR valde man en mekanisk kompressor av typ Eaton M90 för att höja effekten, men i DB7 utgick man från den mindre varianten av AJ16-motorn på 3,2 liter. I slutändan fick man ändå ut en något högre sluteffekt än i den 4 liter stora XJR-motorn. Bilen byggdes inte, som föregångarna, i Newport Pagnell, utan i en egen fabrik i Bloxham, (sv)
