The 2021–22 Miami Heat season was the 34th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Heat looked to improve after the previous season’s first-round exit sweep against the eventual champion Milwaukee Bucks. For the first time since 2019, Andre Iguodala was not on the roster as he returned to the Golden State Warriors. During the 2022 playoff run, Lowry missed multiple games due to a hamstring injury. On May 27, in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Lowry recorded a double-double of 18 points and 10 assists in a 111–103 win over the Boston Celtics.
