- Éric Legnini (born 20 February 1970 in Huy, near Liège, Belgium) is a Belgian jazz pianist and bandleader of the Éric Legnini Trio. Legnini was born into an artistic family from Italy. The family immigrated to Belgium, where he started playing the piano at age 6 and initiated in jazz in his teens. In 1988 he traveled to the United States for two years to study American jazz. He returned as a teacher of jazz piano at the Brussels Royal Conservatory of Music, where he met Jacques Pelzer. The result was the Pelzer album Never Let Me Go with guest stars Barney Wilen and Michel Graillier. (en)
- Éric Legnini (Hoei, 20 februari 1970) is een Belgisch jazzpianist, componist en arrangeur, bandleider van The Afro Jazz Beat en het Éric Legnini Trio. Legnini begon piano te spelen op 6-jarige leeftijd en speelde aanvankelijk klassiek. Als tiener kwam hij via een album van Erroll Garner in aanraking met jazz en stapte over. Hij gaat vervolgens piano studeren aan het conservatorium, waar hij vrienden wordt met slagwerker Stéphane Galland en saxofonist Fabrizio Cassol, die later Aka Moon oprichten. Met hen speelt hij in diverse clubs, waar Jacques Pelzer hem in 1987 opmerkt en in zijn band opneemt. Korte tijd later besluit Legnini echter naar New York te verhuizen.
