The Italianate Isham Terry House and the Queen Anne-style Arthur G. Pomeroy House, both of which are listed separately on the National Register, are included in the district. The 130-ft Keney Tower, a landmark said to be Hartford's only freestanding tower, is an unusual element in the district. It was built in 1898 to a design by Charles C. Haight of New York City. Most structures in the district were designed by local architects. William G. Allen is one architect who contributed to the design of one or more structures in the district.
