After sizeable critical success, the album had moderate commercial success and was certified silver by the BPI in 2003 after the success of their breakthrough album Echo Park. The album passed the required 60,000 in 2001, but Echo applied for the award in 2003. The album saw Feeder take on more of a grunge rock influenced sound, which wasn't seen on their other albums that followed.
