Llandybie hosted the National Eisteddfod in 1944. It benefits from a railway station on the Heart of Wales Line. It has a primary school, Llandybie CP School, which is located in the North Easterly fringe of the village. Llandybie was the first place in the world where the mineral Brammallite was found. The village is served by Llandybie railway station."@en .
