On Friday, July 31st, 2009, the Illinois Libertarian Party suggested that he run for Lieutenant Governor in 2010 with the party, and he accepted to run.. Currently, Dodson resides in Southern Illinois. His songs have been featured and requested on Phoenix, Arizona's KXEG radio, Columbus, Ohio's 88.7 Radio U, Columbus, Ohio's 1580 WVKO (AM), and Carbondale, Illinois' 91.1 WDBX FM.
