Efter att deras arrende g\u00E5tt ut 1902 l\u00E5g verksamheten nere tills 1905 d\u00E5 tre aff\u00E4rsm\u00E4n fr\u00E5n Budapest \u00E5terupptog driften, nu under namnet Danubius. 1911 \u00E4ndrades namnet till Ganz &amp; Co. Danubius. Verksamheten v\u00E4xte sedan under hela 1910-talet. 1920 kom varvet i italiensk \u00E4go, och namnet \u00E4ndrades \u00E4nnu en g\u00E5ng, nu till Cantieri Navali Del Quarnero. Efter andra v\u00E4rldskriget var skeppsvarvet totalf\u00F6rst\u00F6rt, och i stort sett allt fick byggas upp igen fr\u00E5n b\u00F6rjan. Skeppsvarvet, som under kriget g\u00E5tt under ben\u00E4mningen Kvarnersko Brodogradili\u0161te, fick d\u00E5 sitt nuvarande namn, 3. MAJ, till minne av det datum d\u00E5 Rijeka blev befriat fr\u00E5n den tyska ockupationen. 3. MAJ v\u00E4xte sedan under hela efterkrigstiden till ett av Medelhavets st\u00F6rsta skeppsvarv.
