But lately I\u2019ve been listening to things like Beck\u2019s new album [Sea Change] \u2014 yeah, it\u2019s pedestrian and prosaic, but it\u2019s so plainspoken that it just killed me. The problem is that most break-up albums have a common theme running through them: someone\u2019s feeling angry because they\u2019ve been used. I didn\u2019t have that. I had something worse, which is coming out of a relationship feeling that the other person had no use for you at all.
